The Asus D550CA-RS31 is reliable and value packed 15,6″ laptop under 400$. It comes with an Intel core i3 3217U clocked at 1,8Ghz with integrated intel hd 4000 graphics. This ULV-processor has two cores -each one containing two logical cores- thus with hyperthreading, four threads can be handled in parallel. However, turboboost mode is not supported. This means the Asus D550CA-RS31 is fast enough to run your everyday applications without problem, but not for anything that will stress the CPU, such as gaming, video editing or 3d software. In general, the ULV i3 processors perform better than most Celerons, to give you an idea.
The Asus D550CA-RS31 comes with 6Gb of installed ram, and a traditional 500Gb hard drive, a standard for this type of laptops.
