With the the annual Consumer Electronics Show just a few weeks away, Lenovo annouced the first ThinkPad laptops of the 2019 generation: ThinkPad L390 and ThinkPad L390 Yoga.
Aimed at price-sensitive business users, the L series is a more affordable option to the more expensive T series or X series ThinkPads. Aesthetically speaking, the new L390 and L390 Yoga are not very different from their predecessors: Both models are 18.8mm thin and weigh less than 1.6kg, and have a 13.3in full HD anti-glare displays.
The ThinkPad L390 and L390 Yoga are also the first ThinkPads to ship with Intel’s 8th-generation Whiskey Lake chips; which should slightly boost performance over Kaby Lake-R and also adds support for Gigabit WiFi. The new CPU options are the Intel Core i5-8265U and Core i7-8565U.
Lenovo also announced that the new ThinkPad L390 and L390 Yoga will be available in December, and they will both be available in black or silver, with prices starting at $659 for the ThinkPad L390, and of $889 for the convertible version.
